Biography

I have been beating on the drums for about 13 years now. I have taken lessons from a wide range of instructors over the years, all of which covered a good spread of genres. I have grown up playing punk rock but have a burning passion for anything musical.

I had the opportunity to study at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA. There I studied percussion and music business and left with a degree in both. Going to this school opened many doors to play other genres and to really brush up and improve on your overall playing ability. While at Musician’s Institute I did everything from snare drum technique to latin drum set playing and everything in between. All over which gave me a good foot up on a lot of other players in my scene. I also give drum lessons to kids of all ages and ability levels. I have developed my teaching through the knowledge I gained from school and clinics that I have attened.

I am currently the drummer for The Bombpops, a female fronted punk band from San Diego, CA. The band has been playing for about 4 years now and has accomplished quite a bit in our short lives including; West Coast and Cross country tours, recording a full length album and EP, Shooting a music video with Derek Dale (As I Lay Dieing, Strung Out) and opening for national and international touring acts. The Bombpops have also had the privilege of working with Red Scare Industries who have released and distributed our last EP. We are about to head back into the studio to record another EP and a 7” split which will be out before the end of the year. We will also be headed back out on the road sooner than later so be sure to keep an eye and ear our for us!
